This season Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce created a collection that was filled with the label’s iconic looks.

The show was emotional for many of the viewers because of a video that ran in the background of the runway show depicting the design duo working in their atelier and the mournful Moulin Rouge soundtrack.

There was a selection of black tailored blazers in every cut imaginable paired with classic boudoir inspired pieces featuring bustiers and lace. There were leopard prints and polka dots, a touch of velvet and simple black accessories. The whole show screamed Dolce&Gabbana without looking like it had already been done. The focus was on the impeccible tailoring and not on any extravagant styling. It was by no means trendy and reinforced the idea this season that classic is back.
