As you probably know, I have a bit of a thing for Marie Antoinette. The fashion of her time especially interests me, to the point that I’ve even written a paper about it for one of my classes. The huge impractical dresses, the bows, the colours…it’s all so amazing. So you can imagine that I was completely smitten with D&G’s newest line. The shapes were distinctly pre-French revolution (except for the length of course) and the fabrics reflected those times as well. Animal prints and sky-high platforms made the collection more modern.
